Our body gets used for so many things during the day. Some things give to us, like spending time with people who understand us, meditating, and being in nature. Then there are things that leave us feeling drained, like working too hard, constant activity, long meetings, difficult interactions, and traffic.
But what can we do to refill when we are exhausted? You can create a well of energy inside you that you can come back to any time your energy is low.
Start with awareness: think about how many things you did today, all the different situations that you were connected to, all the people you interacted with. Those are all things that your energy is still connected to in some way.
Now close your eyes and visualize your energy coming back to you and filling your center, your core. Allow your thoughts to focus on a spot in your core, like your Solar Plexus, where rib cage comes together. Think of that spot filling up with energy. Keep filling it until your whole body is energized. Do that for 5-10 minutes. Don’t worry about controlling your mind, just keep your focus on the Solar Plexus.
Once you feel full, you can come back to regular awareness with your eyes open. Now you have a reservoir inside you that you can turn to during the day when things feel difficult. Simply close your eyes and tune into your core or Solar Plexus to get recharged.
